Cinnetic Sky Cast LC Hybrid 420
The Cinnetic Sky Cast LC Hybrid 420 is a three-piece surfcasting rod for saltwater anglers looking for a good combination of casting power, sensitivity, and high-quality construction. The slim 24T carbon blank, sensitive Flexi-Tip Hybrid tip, and genuine Fuji components make this a particularly attractive beach rod in its price range.
With a length of 420 cm and a casting weight of 100 to 220 grams, the Sky Cast LC Hybrid is highly versatile for use from the beach, a pier, or a breakwater. The blank provides enough power to cast lead weights and baited rigs with control, while the hybrid tip also makes even the most subtle bites clearly visible.
Cinnetic developed this rod as an affordable yet high-quality model for anglers looking to buy their first surfcasting rod, without having to compromise on a sturdy carbon blank, Fuji Low Rider guides, and a reliable finish.
Sensitive Flexi-Tip Hybrid Tip
The Cinnetic Sky Cast LC Hybrid is equipped with Cinnetic’s latest-generation Flexi-Tip Hybrid. This inlaid hybrid tip is thinner and more sensitive than a classic tubular rod tip.
This makes even subtle bites from dab, sole, flounder, and whiting clearly visible. At the same time, the mid-section and handle retain enough strength to cast a full beach rig with control.
The combination of a powerful blank and a sensitive tip makes this rod suitable for both general beach fishing and sessions where it’s important to detect bites clearly.
Slim 24T carbon blank
The blank is made of 24T carbon and has a slim profile. This makes for a rod that’s comfortable to handle and can build up sufficient power during the cast.
Weighing 565 grams, the rod also remains easy to handle during longer fishing sessions. The blank’s progressive action helps both beginners and more experienced anglers cast lead weights with control.
The specified action range is 100 to 220 grams. The ideal casting weight may vary depending on the sinker used, the amount of bait, the leader, and the casting technique.
Original Fuji Low Rider Guide Eyes
The Cinnetic Sky Cast LC Hybrid 420 is equipped with original Fuji Low Rider LCOG guides. The low placement of these guides helps guide the line close to the rod blank during the cast.
This ensures controlled line travel and minimizes unwanted line movement. The guide eyes feature stainless steel frames with a dark gray frosted finish, allowing them to blend seamlessly with the rod’s modern design.
Low Rider guide eyes are often paired with a large surfcasting reel and are ideal for making long, controlled casts from the beach.
DPS Screw Conveyor Mount
The rod is equipped with a sturdy DPS screw reel seat. This reliably holds the reel in place during casting and fighting a fish.
The Sky Cast LC Hybrid pairs well with a large long-cast or surfcasting reel. Cinnetic recommends the Sky Line Pro DS CRBK, among others, but similar beach reels also work well with this rod.
Suitable for a variety of beach fishing techniques
With a length of 420 cm, a sensitive hybrid tip, and a casting weight range of 100 to 220 grams, the Cinnetic Sky Cast LC Hybrid is suitable for various types of saltwater fishing:
- Beach Fishing and Surf Casting
- Fishing from piers and breakwaters
- Fishing from seawalls and quay walls
- Fishing with a nylon or braided main line
- Targeted fishing for dab, sole, and flounder
- Winter Fishing for Whiting and Gul
- Fishing with light- to medium-weight beach rigs
The sensitive tip helps detect subtle bites, while the powerful blank provides enough reserve to reel fish in through the surf in a controlled manner.
Protective fishing rod case
The rod comes in a sturdy 2500D denier fabric case with internal compartments. This keeps the three rod sections neatly separated from one another during storage and transport.
